If you’ve struggled to justify buying Apple’s AirPods Max at their usual $420-plus price (at Apple, they’re still $549), head over to Woot and check out this deal on refurbished models that cost just $369.99. You can choose between space gray, sky blue, and green, each of which Woot says are “Apple Certified Reconditioned” and have “no visible scratches or blemishes and appear practically brand new!” Though, as is usually the case, the warranty for these refurbished headphones isn’t as good as buying new ones. You’ll get 90 days instead of a full year.

While still pricier in refurbished condition than some of our other top picks for noise-canceling headphones new-in-box, there are some good reasons why you may want to opt for the AirPods Max. Our reviewer Chris Welch says that their build quality “is on another level” compared to the likes of Sony and Bose. Instead of building its headphones with plastic like everyone else, Apple uses aluminum and stainless steel. Also, its digital crown controls are easier to navigate than touch controls or your typical ear cup button layout. Read our review.

Following last week’s announcement of the Apple Watch Series 8 and the rugged Apple Watch Ultra, Amazon has a batch of Series 7 smartwatches selling at a pretty steep discount. The most notable deal is on the 45mm-sized Apple Watch Series 7 (GPS + LTE) in black, red, or blue, which costs $400 instead of $529.

For something slightly cheaper, the red 41mm GPS + LTE model of the Series 7 is $379. Red a little too loud for you? This starlight colorway of the same size and with the same capabilities costs $399. Here’s our review of the Series 7 from October 2021.

The Apple Watch Series 7 in green.

Apple Watch Series 7

The Apple Watch Series 7 comes in a range of colors with either GPS or GPS and LTE cellular connectivity.

Even with the newer smartwatches releasing later this week, it’s likely that for some, the Series 7 may tick enough boxes to warrant saving some money. We did a comparison post that puts all of the latest smartwatches against the Series 7. It’s virtually identical to the Series 8 in terms of design, and it has more than a few things in common internally. Save for an updated processor, crash detection, and temperature sensors used to track ovulation and the menstrual cycle, the Series 7 goes toe-to-toe with the Series 8.

That TV pictured above is TCL’s 65-inch 6-series 4K TV with Mini LED backlighting. The reason why I’m showing it to you is because it’s on a special discount at Best Buy, where you can grab it for $799.99 — $200 off its usual price. Aside from its Mini LED backlighting, which delivers a brighter, more realistic-looking picture than standard LED, it features other niceties, like HDMI 2.1 ports to display gaming at 4K at up to 120Hz, as well as Google TV software built in. Read our full review.

TCL 6-Series R635 (65-inch)

The R635 is part of TCL’s 6-Series line, which features 4K HDR, Mini LED backlighting, and four HDMI ports. Unlike the more recent model, the R635 runs on Roku’s TV platform and lacks some of the more recent upgrades, including support for 4K gaming at 120Hz.

Apple’s new iPhone lineup may have grabbed everyone’s attention, but our weekend deals post is fixed on everything Apple ignored during its “Far Out” event earlier this week. For starters, Apple’s 64GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi is currently matching its best price ever at Amazon and Best Buy, where you can pick it up for $399.99 ($100 off). If you need more storage, you can also find the 256GB model with Wi-Fi discounted to $549.99 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from its usual price of $799.99.

The 2021 iPad Mini brings several welcome changes to Apple’s smallest tablet, including a larger screen that ditches the home button and replaces Apple’s Lightning connector with a USB-C port. In addition, the Mini features an 8.3-inch display, 2266 x 1488 resolution, and support for Apple’s True Tone technology, which allows you to fine-tune the display based on the lighting in your environment. All this is powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic CPU, which makes the latest Mini the one to beat until the inevitable arrival of an M1 or M2 model. Read our review.

2021 iPad Mini (64GB, Wi-Fi)

Apple’s revamped iPad Mini ditches the home button and opts for a larger edge-to-edge display. It also comes outfitted with a faster processor, support for USB-C, and a top-mounted power button that moonlights as a Touch ID sensor.

If you’re looking for a competent laptop instead of a tablet, you can also find discounts on Apple’s 13-inch, M2-equipped MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM. Normally $1,299, the build with 256GB of storage is currently discounted to $1,149 at Best Buy and Amazon. The same retailers (Best Buy / Amazon) are also discounting the 512GB configuration to $1,299 ($150 off), making the current sale prices the best prices we’ve seen for either configuration.

Despite launching earlier this year, the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro doesn’t change much regarding the appearance of Apple’s premium laptop — it still sports tapered sides, as well as the same Magic Keyboard, the same two Thunderbolt ports, and the same Touch Bar. However, the addition of Apple’s M2 processor lends the Pro improved performance while retaining the same excellent battery life as its predecessor. Unfortunately, the underwhelming webcam and lack of port selection are still here as well. Read our review.

Want a TV that isn’t a complete eyesore? Well, you’re in luck: Woot is still offering both the 43- and 50-inch models of Samsung’s latest Frame TV at a discount. Normally $997.99, the 43-inch model is currently on sale for just $739.99, while the 50-inch model is on sale for $949.99 ($350 off). The excellent QLED is a great choice for any room in which you’d like to hang a display without it being the center of attention.

Thanks to customizable bezels, Samsung’s art-inspired TV is designed to simulate the appearance of framed artwork, and can even serve as an art showcase when not in use. Unlike its predecessor, however, the display on the latest model uses a low-reflection matte coating that absorbs ambient light, giving the LED TV a picture quality that resembles actual canvas.

In addition to top-notch aesthetics, the 4K TV boasts a number of modern specs, including a 120Hz refresh rate, four HDMI ports (one of which is designated for eARC), and support for HDR10 Plus and a host of popular streaming apps. It also features built-in support for both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, though, sadly, it lacks Dolby Vision support and full-array local dimming — two common features for TVs in this price range.

Samsung The Frame TV (2022)

The newest model of Samsung’s aesthetically pleasing TV retains the same vivid QLED display as its predecessor but uses a new anti-glare, low-reflection coating dubbed “Matte Display,” which provides images with qualities that resemble an actual canvas.

Amazon’s aging Fire TV Stick is still a simple and cost-effective way to access all of your favorite streaming platforms in a single place. And right now, Woot is dropping the price of the 2018 model from $49.99 to $22.99. You can even knock an additional $4 off the sale price by entering promo code FIRE at checkout, bringing the price down to just $19.

The Roku Streaming Stick 4K might still be the go-to device for many users, but this discount makes a more compelling case for Amazon’s diminutive streaming device (and its Alexa-enabled remote). The 2018 Fire TV Stick offers access to many of the same services as the Roku model and offers support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10, and HDR10 Plus. True, the newer Fire Stick 4K Max features Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and offers slightly faster performance than the 2018 Fire TV Stick, but the last-gen model remains a tremendous value at under $20. Read our review.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K

The Fire TV Stick 4K comes with the third-gen Alexa remote. The last-gen streaming stick also offers support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10 Plus, and HDR10. Be sure to use promo code FIRE at checkout to knock an additional $4 off your total.

If you’re in the market for a new gaming chair, Razer’s Iskur is currently on sale on Amazon for $374.50, the lowest price we’ve seen for what is normally a $499.99 seat. The comfy offering doesn’t offer too many surprises for a chair in this price range, but it’s still an excellent value at this price. The Iskur is a black, leatherette chair with green stitching along the seams that features built-in, adjustable lumbar support. You can also adjust the height of the armrests and angle them from side to side to better accommodate your setup.

Razer Iskur

Razer’s initial foray into gaming chairs, the Razer Iskur, features dense memory foam cushions that are coated in synthetic leather. The Iskur’s armrests and lumbar support can also be fine-tuned to ensure a comfortable and healthy sitting position.

If you’re interested in preordering the $249 second-gen AirPods Pro today but their price is holding you back, you may want to check out today’s deal on Samsung’s new Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Today, we’ve come across one of the first discounts on the new set of noise-canceling wireless earbuds. Right now, they’re on sale for just $179.99 ($50 off) at Woot with a 90-day limited warranty.

In terms of audio, they sound better than some of the top earbuds on the market, including the first-gen AirPods Pro and Google’s Pixel Buds Pro, and they manage to offer remarkable clarity and a wide soundstage. Their noise cancellation is also efficient, and we enjoyed how much smaller and more comfortable they are compared to their predecessor.

Like all devices, however, they’re not perfect. Although they can automatically switch between Samsung devices, they don’t offer true multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, meaning you can’t connect them to two devices simultaneously like you can with the Pixel Buds Pro and a number of earbuds from Jabra. Also, be aware that their support for 24-bit hi-fi audio over Bluetooth is restricted to Samsung phones. Read our review.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro

The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are Samsung’s latest pair of true wireless earbuds. They retain the familiar shape of their predecessor, the Galaxy Buds Pro, but are slightly smaller and support 24-bit audio playback over Bluetooth.

We’ve got another Samsung deal for you today, but this time on Samsung’s M8 Smart Monitor. Doubling as both a good monitor and a decent TV, the two-in-one device offers good value for your money, particularly as it’s on sale right now for $589.99 instead of $699.99 at Amazon. That’s nearly the lowest price we’ve seen on the M8, one that Best Buy and Samsung are also matching.

In addition to offering good color and contrast, the M8 comes with a number of different features and capabilities. You can, for instance, connect your laptop to its USB-C port and use it as a screen while working or use Samsung’s smart TV OS, Tizen, to stream shows and movies from major streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max. Alternatively, you can even use the monitor to play Xbox games without an Xbox. It’s not great at everything it does — the OS is sluggish and the snap-on webcam is pretty so-so — but it could be a good buy if you want to save space and buy one display instead of two. Read our review.

Samsung’s M8 Smart Monitor doubles as both a TV and a monitor with a variety of features, like a detachable webcam, a SmartThings hub, and Bluetooth and AirPlay support.

If you’re looking to add an immersive element to your gaming experience, today’s discount on Govee’s colorful DreamView G1 Pro Gaming Light is something you’ll want to check out. The camera-powered bias lighting mimics the colors displayed on your screen while you’re gaming, making it feel as if you’re in the game itself. Plus, the LED lights offer four themed display modes that rely on various lighting effects, including a racing mode that sends pulsing waves of color up and down to match the frenzied nature of driving.

If you have a monitor ranging from 24 to 32 inches in size and don’t mind that you may have to move your webcam in order to mount Govee’s camera to the top, it’s a fun buy that’s on sale at Amazon right now for $127.99 ($52 off) when you click the on-page coupon. Read our review.

Govee DreamView G1 Pro Gaming Light

This camera-powered dynamic LED kit matches the colors being displayed on your screen while gaming and offers four preset game-match modes that can deliver various effects.

It may be September, but it’s still plenty warm in many parts of the US. That means you still have some time to relax by the beach or pool, making today’s deal on JBL’s portable Flip 5 as appealing as ever. Right now, you can buy the excellent Bluetooth speaker in red for $74.99 instead of $129.95 at Woot. If you prefer other shades, you can buy them for as low as $99.99 at Amazon and $99.95 at JBL. As far as specs go, the Flip 5 boasts 12 hours of playback, a worry-free IPX7 rating, and the ability to pair with multiple speakers (via JBL’s PartyBoost feature) for stereo sound. Plus, no matter where you buy the speaker from, you’ll get a one-year JBL warranty.

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the day you can stream Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder from the comfort of your home, you can do so while saving today. In honor of Disney Plus Day, the House of Mouse’s annual celebration of all things streaming-related, the company is offering both new and eligible returning subscribers one month of Disney Plus for $1.99 instead of $7.99.

That means you won’t just be able to watch Marvel’s latest theatrical release for the price of a cup of coffee but also other content released today as part of the service’s Disney Plus Day celebration. This includes the live-action Pinocchio adaptation, the fourth episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the premiere of the Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return documentary, and more. Of course, you can also watch other shows and movies available through the service, including the full Pixar catalog, a wealth of National Geographic content, and upcoming seasons of Star Wars shows like Andor and The Mandalorian.

The Disney Plus Day promotion will run until 11:59PM PT on September 19th (or 2:59AM ET on September 20th). Keep in mind, however, that your monthly subscription will be set to auto-renew at $7.99 after the one-month promo window, so mark your calendar if you wish to cancel your subscription before it jumps in price.

Disney Plus (one-month subscription)

Disney is offering both new and eligible returning subscribers one month of Disney Plus for just $1.99 instead of $7.99 until 11:59PM PT on September 19th (or 2:59AM ET on September 20th). The streaming service offers popular shows and movies like Thor: Love and Thunder, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Moon Knight, and more.

This year’s celebration serves as the kickoff to Disney’s D23 Expo, a biennial fan celebration that will take place from September 9th through September 11th in Anaheim, California. As part of its recent subscriber push, Disney is also extending a number of perks to Disney Plus subscribers, including $5 screenings of films like Encanto and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at select AMC theaters as well as access to exclusive merchandise, advance entry to various Disney parks, and other limited-time perks.

There’s another stellar deal happening for a limited time. Disney is offering a one-month subscription of its Disney Plus service to new and eligible returning subscribers for just $1.99. The service typically costs $7.99 per month. (Though on December 8th, it’ll go up to $10.99 per month.)

Note that your subscription price will go back up after that one-month period. This promotion is happening through September 19th, and it’s kicking off Disney’s D23 event happening this weekend. There will likely be plenty of exciting announcements, so stay tuned for our eventual coverage of that.

Apple’s ninth-generation iPad with 64GB of storage is still sitting at its best-ever price that we first saw last week. Normally $329, you can grab one from Amazon or Target for $279.99. You can get an even better deal if you have a local Micro Center store nearby. There, these tablets are selling for $269.99 — $60 off the original price.

Considering its low price, this iPad should be exactly what a lot of people need from a tablet. It has a speedy (though not cutting-edge) A13 Bionic processor, a big 10.2-inch display, and a headphone jack, in case you still rock wired headphones. There’s a rumor that Apple’s next iPad, which could launch this fall, may not have a 3.5mm jack, so this could be the perfect device if that port is important to you.

2021 iPad (Wi-Fi, 64GB)

Apple’s latest entry-level iPad represents a slight update, with a new A13 Bionic chip and a 12MP front camera that supports Apple’s Center Stage feature.

A few more quick deals

  • If you have the iPad Air from 2020 or newer or the 11-inch iPad Pro, Brydge’s Air Max Plus wireless keyboard case comes recommended at $30 off its usual price. Normally $150, it’s $119.99. This case provides rear support for your tablet, and it’s detachable, too. The keyboard supplies a sizable trackpad, so you can use your iPad as more of a laptop replacement. Here’s our in-depth look.
  • Until October 12th, people who purchase one of Nvidia’s RTX 3080, 3080 Ti, 3090, or 3090 Ti graphics cards will get a complimentary digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man, which recently released on PC. You can find more details here.
  • One of the pricier configurations of Asus’ latest ROG Zephyrus G14 (with a webcam) is $300 off at Best Buy. Normally $1,899.99, it’s $1,599.99. It features a 14-inch 120Hz refresh rate display, AMD’s fast Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, a discrete AMD GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. It sounds like a beast. Here’s my colleague Monica Chin’s review of the pricier and cheaper models of the 2022 G14.

Just like with Thanksgiving, sometimes the leftovers are the best part. Sifting through some of the remaining deals from the Labor Day weekend, we’ve found some excellent discounts on Samsung’s S8 lineup of tablets. Both the standard Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and S8 Plus, for instance, are discounted by $100 at Best Buy, bringing the prices of the 128GB configurations down to $599.99 and $799.99, respectively.

Both the S8 and S8 Plus bring some excellent upgrades to Samsung’s tablet lineup with the inclusion of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, Wi-Fi 6E support, and 8GB of RAM. The S8 and S8 Plus also come loaded with Android 12 out of the box and are slated to receive updates to Android 13 down the line. They both also come packaged with Samsung’s excellent S Pen stylus.

Besides the obvious difference in size — the S8 sports an 11-inch display and the S8 Plus has a 12.4-inch screen — the Plus model also touts a Super OLED display, allowing for a more vivid picture. The latter tablet also includes an ultrawide angle lens for its dual front-facing cameras. For more on what sets the two tablets apart, make sure to read our review of the Galaxy Tab S8 and S8 Plus.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 (Wi-Fi, 128GB)

The standard model of the Galaxy Tab S8 features an 11-inch LCD display with 2560 x 1600 resolution. The base model also has 8GB of RAM and can be configured to include either 128GB or 256GB of storage out of the box.

While it didn’t earn a top spot in our guide to the best Bluetooth speakers, Anker’s speakers are still a great alternative for anyone who is on the hunt for a solid budget-friendly option. Normally priced at $50.99, Amazon and Walmart have discounted the Anker Soundcore 3 in black to just $39.99 — its lowest price to date. The diminutive brick-shaped speaker is light enough to carry just about anywhere, sports IPX7 water resistance, and even comes equipped with a convenient carrying strap. It can also last up to 24 hours on a single charge and can be topped off quickly thanks to its USB-C connection. Just note that it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack and can’t be used to charge other devices like some Bluetooth speakers.

Anker Soundcore 3

Anker’s Soundcore 3 Bluetooth speaker can last for up to 24 hours on a single charge and features an IPX7 waterproof design at an extremely competitive price point.

The Elgato Stream Deck MK.2, the improved model of the desktop gadget with a thousand uses, is currently discounted to $129.99 at Amazon and Best Buy in its white colorway. Normally $149.99, the 15-button wonder was designed with streaming in mind but can be programmed to fill various roles. Several members of The Verge staff even discussed how they use the Stream Deck in their home setup in a recent episode of The Vergecast.

Elgato currently features over 60 apps for the Stream Deck MK.2, ranging from dedicated media playback controls to adjusting your home lighting from your desk. The MK.2 Stream Deck is functionally identical to the original model, but it features a detachable USB-C cable and swappable faceplates if you want to add a little extra flair to your setup.

Elgato Stream Deck MK.2

The second-gen, 15-key Stream Deck features all the same functionality as its predecessor but includes a more robust stand, a detachable USB-C cable, and interchangeable faceplates.

Becoming one of the comfiest pairs of earbuds you’ll ever wear isn’t easy, but the Sony LinkBuds S have managed to do just that. Initially available for $199.99, the LinkBuds S are still on sale for $148 right now on Amazon, and you can also find them for the same price at Adorama in their white colorway. In addition to a comfortable build, the LinkBuds S offer support for the LDAC audio codec for anyone looking for a cost-effective solution to listen to lossless media. Although their noise cancellation isn’t quite as good as what we’ve seen on some of Sony’s other earbuds, like the WF-1000XM4, and the lack of wireless charging is a bit disappointing, we can still recommend the LinkBuds S for anyone who’s searching for a solid pair of earbuds in the $150 price bracket. Read our review.

Sony LinkBuds S

These waterproof earbuds from Sony can automatically switch between ambient sound and noise cancellation based on your environment and also feature support for the LDAC lossless audio codec.

Now a deal just for the gamers. Right now, Logitech’s pastel-tinted G435 gaming headset is discounted in the blue and white colorways on Amazon to $39.99, which matches the best price we’ve seen for what is usually a $79.99 headset. We still consider the G435 one of the best gaming headsets you can currently buy thanks to its versatility and simplicity. The G435 can connect to sources either via Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz wireless connectivity, allowing you to use it with either gaming consoles or mobile devices. It may lack the trademark boom mic that we’ve come to associate with gaming headsets, but the internal mics are sufficient for gaming or picking up calls.

Logitech G435 Lightspeed

Logitech’s G435 Lightspeed is a lightweight and comfortable wireless gaming headset that won’t break the bank. It’s compatible with PlayStation consoles as well as the Nintendo Switch and PC. It also supports Bluetooth, so you can listen to music or pick up calls while you game.

Two more deals to cap off our post for today…

We’ve got some good news for both Marvel and sports fans: you can save $60 while watching both Marvel’s new Thor: Love and Thunder and football this week as a part of Hulu’s latest sale. In honor of the NFL season kicking off this Thursday, September 8th, Hulu is offering both new and returning customers a Hulu with Live TV subscription for $49.99 instead of $69.99 per month for three months.

The monthly subscription grants members access to over 75 live sports, news, and entertainment channels and access to Hulu’s streaming library (albeit with ads). But (confusingly — and randomly — enough) it also means you’ll be able to access ESPN Plus and Disney Plus, so you can stream Marvel’s latest theatrical release as well as Disney’s live-action Pinocchio adaptation on “Disney Plus Day,” which is also this Thursday.

You’ll have to hurry, though, as the sale won’t last forever. The promotion starts today at 1PM PT / 4PM ET and will last through 11:59PM PT on October 5th (or 2:59AM ET on October 6th).

Hulu with Live TV subscription (three months, ad-supported)

You can get three months of a Hulu with Live TV subscription for just $49.99 per month instead of $69.99 for three months through October 5th. The subscription grants you access to over 75 live channels, Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and all of Hulu’s TV shows and movies as well.

In need of a new laptop but working with a tighter budget? A good Chromebook like Asus’ Chromebook Detachable CM3 is an affordable alternative to consider if you don’t require a lot of power. It’s even cheaper today, too, now that the convertible has returned to its best price in nearly a year. Regularly $369.99, the Chromebook Detachable CM3 is on sale at Amazon with a MediaTek 8183 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage for just $269.99.

The CM3 is our favorite detachable Chromebook, one that features a dual-folding kickstand that allows it to stand up like a laptop or fold horizontally. Plus, it comes with a detachable keyboard, a magnetic cover, a built-in USI stylus, and an excellent battery that should last you nearly 13 hours. However, be aware that while it’s fine for browsing, it’s not particularly powerful and can be sluggish when you’re using Google services like Gmail. Plus, you only get two ports: a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Read our review.

Asus’ Chromebook Detachable CM3 sitting open on a desk with its detachable keyboard.

Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3

The Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3 is the best detachable laptop with a built-in pen and detachable screen. It offers a unique dual-folding kickstand, making it possible to fold the tablet so it stands up like a laptop or stands up horizontally.

We’ve got a great streaming deal for you today as well. Right now, both new and returning subscribers can save $60 when they buy a three-month Hulu with Live TV subscription through 11:59PM PT on October 5th (or 2:59AM ET on October 6th). While Hulu says it’s launching the sale in honor of NFL season, the promotion should appeal to all, whether you’re into sports or not. That’s because you’ll be paying $49.99 a month instead of $69.99 for access to over 75 live sports, news, and entertainment channels, Hulu’s entire streaming library, Disney Plus, and ESPN Plus. As a result, you’ll be able to watch football and titles like Thor: Love and Thunder, which releases on Disney Plus on Thursday, September 8th.

You can get three months of a Hulu with Live TV subscription for just $49.99 per month instead of $69.99 for three months through October 5th. The subscription grants you access to over 75 live channels, Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and all of Hulu’s TV shows and movies as well.

Apple is not likely to introduce new MacBook models during its “Far Out” event today, but there are rumors that it may release an M2-powered MacBook Pro as early as October. However, if you’re looking for something more affordable you can buy right now, you can purchase Apple’s M2-powered MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and an eight-core CPU from Amazon or B&H Photo, where you can pick it up in either space gray (Amazon / B&H Photo) or dark blue (Amazon / B&H Photo) for $1,099. While we’ve seen the starlight configuration plunge to this price before, the current deal represents a record low for both the space gray and midnight colors.

We think the new M2-powered MacBook Air is the best laptop for most people since it does a good job of offering everything the general user may need and features a host of welcome improvements, including a 1080p webcam. It also offers faster performance than the M1-powered MacBook Air and retains many of the same features, such as all-day battery life and a MagSafe charging port. However, like all laptops, there are some downsides, including a relatively limited port selection and a display notch. Also, if you buy the base model, keep in mind that copying large files and other tasks may take some time given its 256GB of storage is stored on a single NAND chip as opposed to two. Read our review.

MacBook Air (M2 model)

The redesigned MacBook Air is a thin, lightweight device powered by Apple’s latest chip. The M2 model also touts a 1080p webcam and a better display than its predecessor, while retaining features like long battery life and MagSafe charging.

A charger doesn’t make for the most exciting deal, but it’s a necessary accessory if you own a smartphone or another electronic device. Thankfully, if you’re in need of a replacement or a second one, Anker’s current deal on its 511 Charger is worth checking out. While not as powerful as its 30W successor, the 20W charger can still quickly juice your smartphone or tablet and is small enough that you can take it just about anywhere. The USB-C charger is also incredibly affordable at its discounted price of $19.99 ($10 off), and it includes a six-foot USB-C to Lightning cable as well as an 18-month warranty.

A few more deals we think are worth a look

Holy hell, it’s September. A major Apple event is next week, and summer is pretty much over (except for the crippling heat, that is). Before you know it, we’ll be talking about “Techtober” and holiday shopping. Wait, before you throw your keyboard or phone at me, I’ll get to the deals.

First up, you can pick up the AirPods Max in select colors (silver, pink, blue, and green) for $429, which is a cool $120 off their full price. This is the best possible price for a new pair of AirPods Max so far. They are regularly discounted to $479, so you should never pay full price, but this deal doesn’t come around all the time.

While $429 is still a sizable amount for headphones, the noise-canceling AirPods Max are some of the best options around for wireless listening on Apple devices. They use Apple’s H1 chip for seamless connections to iPhones, iPads, and Macs, but they also support Bluetooth 5.0 for wider compatibility. (You can, if you want to, listen wired and not worry about battery life, but that requires a $35 cable.) These cans are a little hefty, but they’re very plush compared to most plastic-y competitors, and they support spatial audio. For all of that, $429 is certainly much more digestible than their full price of $549, even if they don’t fold down and the case is a bit wacky. Read our review.

Apple AirPods Max

Apple’s AirPods Max feature exemplary build quality, sound phenomenal, and keep up with the best at noise cancellation.

Antonline is offering a bundle of the Nintendo Switch OLED model with a copy of Pokémon Legends: Arceus and a wired Nyko gaming headset for $349.99. Console bundles rarely feel like a good deal, but this one thankfully bucks that trend. Frankly, the headset is beside the point; the key here is you’re getting the flagship Switch OLED, complete with its much-improved, larger screen, usable kickstand, and 64GB of internal storage for its regular price — plus, you get a great open-world Pokémon game thrown in for free. If you’re a lapsed Pokémon fan or just slightly Poké-curious and interested in the best Nintendo currently has to offer hardware-wise, this bundle is actually worth a look. Read our reviews of the Switch OLED and Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Govee’s DreamView G1 Pro gaming lights are down to their best price to date at Amazon. You can get the LED monitor bias light kit for $129.99 when you click the on-page coupon, knocking $50 off at checkout. If you just love yourself some RGB lighting and game a lot on a PC, it’s a fun way to liven up your desk setup. Much like Govee’s TV immersion lighting kits, the G1 Pro uses a top-mounted camera to match the light colors to what’s on your screen. There’s a flexible LED strip you mount to the rear of your monitor with adhesive clips, and two LED towers sit at the flanks, about a foot away.

The effect is pretty cool for both story-driven games and twitchy shooters and much more affordable than pricey options from brands like Philips Hue. The mounting clips for the LED strip were recently revised and improved, so if you buy it and get the old clips in the box, be sure to reach out to Govee’s customer support for the free clip upgrade. Read our review.

Govee DreamView G1 Pro gaming lights

This camera-powered dynamic LED kit matches the colors displayed on a 24-inch to 32-inch screen while you’re gaming, while offering four preset game-match modes that can deliver various effects.

Since it’s now September, that also means we’re hitting the stride of the fall TV season. And just as HBO Max is offering a seasonal deal to hook you in on its service, the recent Paramount Plus / Showtime combined streaming app is following suit. You can subscribe to the bundled Paramount Plus and Showtime streaming package for as low as $7.99 per month (regularly $11.99) for the Essential Plan. That gives you a wide variety of ad-supported Paramount Plus and Showtime shows with some live sports, like Champions League and NFL games on CBS. Opting for the Premium Plan costs $12.99 per month (regularly $14.99), which is ad-free except on live content and includes more live sports plus your local CBS station. This offer runs until October 2nd, when the plans resume their normal pricing, though you can cancel anytime.

Paramount Plus and Showtime streaming bundle

Paramount Plus and Showtime are offering a combined streaming bundle of the two services for a special price of $7.99 per month for the Essential Plan (ad-supported) or $12.99 for the Premium Plan (no ads on non-live streams and more live sports included). Both options include Showtime streaming. The special rates end October 2nd, when they return to the standard $11.99 and $14.99 per month, respectively.

Hot on the heels of some of our Xbox Series S deals from last week, you can currently get the Xbox Series S for less than retail at eBay, courtesy of Antonline. It may not come bundled with any games, but right now, you can get the Series S for roughly $238 when you use the code LABORDAYSAVE at checkout. This is the best price we’ve seen for the standalone, digital-exclusive console that typically sells for $299.99. Moving on to phones, Amazon is currently having a promotion it labels “Android Days” with discounts on a number of excellent Android devices, some of which are on sale for their lowest price ever. Google’s excellent midrange option, the Pixel 6A, launched just a couple of months ago for $449.99 but is currently on sale for $369.99 in its black and green colorways. The 6A may lack the same high-refresh-rate screen found on its more expensive counterparts, but it keeps the same Google Tensor CPU and sports excellent battery life. Read our review.

Google’s Pixel 6A stands out among $500 phones.

Google Pixel 6A

Google’s Pixel 6A comes with a relatively small 6.1-inch OLED screen but is an excellent performer with a good camera and battery life.

Another excellent Android deal includes the unlocked model of the last-generation OnePlus 9, which is currently discounted to $379.99 at Amazon in its black and white colorways. Originally available for $729, the performance of the OnePlus 9 may pale in comparison to modern flagship phones, but its SnapDragon 888 CPU is still enough to outdo some contemporary midrange options. Some of the other specs you get at this accessible price point include a 6.55-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. If you’re not married to the Apple ecosystem and want to try an Android device outside of the realms of Samsung or Google, this deal on the OnePlus 9 is worth checking out. Read our review.

If you don’t mind the green colorway, you can currently pick up the 44mm LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 for $169.99 at Woot instead of its usual $329.99 price. While the Watch 4 is unfortunately restricted to the Samsung ecosystem of applications, it still manages to provide a well-rounded wearable experience for $170. The Watch 4 offers excellent performance and a robust suite of workout metrics that support tracking for 95 different types of exercise. Read our review.

The Galaxy Watch 4 features a snappy interface and more third-party support by way of Google’s Wear OS 3. But keep in mind that it’s paired best with a Samsung-made phone.

All eyes may be on the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2, but not everyone is willing to spend $155 on a pair of earbuds. Thankfully, Woot is currently featuring the standard Galaxy Buds 2, discounted to $74.99 from their original price of $149.99. The Buds 2 have remained one of our favorite pairs of noise-canceling earbuds, thanks to their excellent sound quality and noise-cancelation capabilities. If you’re willing to accept the 90-day limited warranty offered by Woot, this is an excellent offer for Samsung’s last-generation earbuds. Read our review.

Just a couple more deals for you…

  • The Elgato Game Capture HD60S Plus is available at Best Buy for $139.99, its lowest price ever. Correction August 30th, 2:17PM ET: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the WF-1000XM5 headphones were on sale. The correct name of the model being discounted is the Sony WH-1000XM5. We regret the error.
