The Idol<\/em> stars Tesfaye as a Los Angeles club owner and modern-day cult leader as he embarks upon a \u201ccomplicated relationship\u201d with a rising pop idol played by Lily-Rose Depp.<\/p>\n As you\u2019d expect from a show that shares its creator with Euphoria, The Idol<\/em>\u2019s trailer is a debauched affair that promises the series will tell \u201cthe sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood.\u201d Levinson is directing each of the show\u2019s six episodes after director Amy Seimetz stepped away from the project in April, Deadline<\/em> reported at the time<\/a>.
