The incident does not appear to have yet been claimed by any major ransomware group.<\/p>\n Western Digital notes that the incident \u201chas caused and may continue to cause disruption\u201d to the company\u2019s business operations. The company didn\u2019t provide any further information. At the time of writing, Western Digital\u2019s service status website<\/a> confirms that the incident downed its My Cloud network-attached storage (NAS) service, which allows customers to access their files<\/a> from the internet.<\/p>\n Western Digital said it is \u201cimplementing proactive measures to secure its business operations\u201d and is working to restore impacted infrastructure and services.
