In addition to its recent expansion to the U.K. <\/a>and elsewhere, after first arriving in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, the company says paid verification is available to all users in India, with Brazil coming soon.<\/p>\n Zuckerberg\u2019s message included Canada and the U.K. as \u201cnow available\u201d markets, but the feature was actually spotted rolling out in the U.K. last month<\/a>. In addition, Meta announced it would begin testing the service in Canada just last week<\/a>. That means India is the only true new addition here, which a spokesperson for Meta confirmed.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are expanding the test to India starting today and will roll out on Instagram and Facebook to everyone eligible there over the next couple weeks,\u201d the spokesperson told TechCrunch.<\/p>\n Users had reported seeing the Meta Verified waitlist open<\/a> up back in India back in March, but it was not made available to all at that time.<\/p>\n
