Even if Elon Musk could reinstate former President Donald Trump\u2019s Twitter account, Trump will not be returning to the platform \u2014 at least that\u2019s what he told Fox News <\/em>on Monday<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Rather than tweeting from his formerly favored platform, Trump assured Fox <\/em>that he would officially start posting \u201ctruths\u201d to his new social media app, Truth Social, over the next few days. <\/p>\n

\u201cI am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,\u201d Trump told Fox News on Monday. \u201cI hope Elon buys Twitter because he\u2019ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s announcement comes moments after Musk won a bid to take Twitter private<\/a> at $54.20 a share. For nearly two weeks, Musk has been maneuvering to purchase the company he calls \u201cthe digital town square.\u201d Responding to Musk\u2019s initial statements announcing his plans, Trump told Americano Media on April 14th<\/a> that he \u201cprobably wouldn\u2019t have any interest\u201d in returning to Twitter even if Musk bought it.<\/p>\n
